What Should I Say When I Meet Tissa For The First Time?

Gary and I at Ellen's Stardust Diner

Gary and Mike at Ellen's Stardust Diner - NJ

I Arrived safely in New York today. The flight got in 30 minutes early (only 4 hours total in the air) so we made excellent time. Jet Blue rocks and I recommend them highly if they have flights in your area. I’ve flown them at least a dozen times and they have always been on time!

Luckily the Shuttle took me straight to the Hotel without any stops. It could have been a brutal long drive because there were 6 other passengers with hotel stops spread out all over the city. Since the Hilton is located in upper Manhattan close to Central Park and we came from Brooklyn by way of the Queensboro Bridge I was the first stop. Yeah, big tip for the driver, well deserved!

After I checked into the room, which went incredible fast and smooth, I quickly plugged in my computer. I went straight to the forum and made a post that I had arrived safely. I then started writing Tissa a PM since I didn’t have his phone number and I figured that would be the best way to let him know I was here. Just as I was about to hit the Send button the phone rang…It was Tissa! Now I thought, what is he psychic too?

He said “Mike, go get your pass and meet me on the second floor there are some boxes we’re bringing up to the booth”.

I said “cool, I’ll be right there”.

Yeah right cool….I’m finally going to meet Tissa for the first time and I have no idea what to say when I see him.

Hi Tissa, You Rock! (no that’s awkward)….At this point I’m not even sure if I’ll recognize him since I’m so bad with faces! Embarrassing but true.

Thankfully he walked up to me and said the first words. Well, you know what the first thing I said was?
“Wow you’re a lot taller than I thought you would be”

…and without missing a beat in true Tissa form he replied…”well your a lot shorter than I thought you would be”.

LOL, I guess I deserved that! I mean come on, it’s just that all we ever see is that headshot photo with the Google Sign behind him and the video of him sitting down. I’m 5′8″ and he towers over me so naturally that was my first reaction :P I guess it just didn’t come out right. Either way it was too funny and a great way to laugh and break the ice.

Shortly after that I got to meet Gary and I made sure I didn’t say anything dumb to him. What a great guy too, just a real gentlemen. We went up to see the booth, dropped off the boxes and decided to get some dinner on the streets of NY City..

Well, that’s when Gary and I took a wrong turn, lost Tissa in the Subway, and wound up at Ellen’s Stardust Lounge (with the singing wait staff) in New Jersey!

Of course Tissa sent the NYPD hot on our trail to come and save us! Thanks Tissa!
What a night….

  4. Dude….that is so funny. I said the exact same thing to Tissa when I met him in Vegas. He is 6′ 4″ and I am 6′ 2″ and usually I am taller than people. Tissa also had a very firm handshake too. He also has some serious people skills with a great sense of humor.

  12. Rick Samara says:

    Hey Mike,

I’ll never forget the time, I must have been like 5 years old, that my father took me to an Philadelphia Warriors exhibition game at a local high school.

Anyway, I stood toe-to-toe with Wilt Chamberlain. I’d love to have a picture of that. I came up to his mid-thigh. :)

He had the obvious advantage. He was fully grown, I wasn’t. At least when you met Tissa, you were both fully grown.

    Best Regards,

    Rick Samara

  13. Lawrence Mack says:

Funny you ended up in Jersey… I used to live there.

And don’t worry, Mike… I’m not that tall either. I’d probably feel they were towering over me too.

  14. Andrew says:

Sound like a great story and awesome spent time. Yeah, from the picture i assume Tissa wouldnt be that tall, but now its clear.

I prolly would get lost in that kinda big city.

  15. Great story. I want to become a super sponsor and meet Tissa in Las Vegas. I use to live in about 35 minutes from the strip so Luck Be A Lady and I will see you there!

LOL Mike there is something to be said for being shorter you don’t have as far to fall.

Andrew you don’t get lost you just have an adventure in the big city.

  21. I would like to meet Tissa as soon as possible.
    Hi everybody:
I leaned above that Tissa is a tall guy, but I knew from the first time I start reading his program that he is a great guy too.

His program is smart, it is honest, it is helpfull. – I am sure this time I will succeed On Line, even that I am just starting to put everything together. – I hope one day I can seat with him to talk about my project. I suspect he will like it and maybe we can make a nice join venture.

  22. Derron says:

Wow, that was an awesome read… I wish that I could get to a meet and greet at his office… have to convince my parents to let me go tho lol… and convince them that this is not a scam either.. which is like pulling teeth.. anyways when i move out and get my own place I will take a visit…

  23. I admire the valuable information you offer in your articles.Great post, You make valid points in a concise and pertinent fashion, I will read more of your stuff, thank you for your time.

  24. It exists like this, a customer seeks for a keyword on Google. You have published an article which targets this phrase and make submitted it to a internet site which Google likes. The customer gets your clause on page one, shows it, clicks on your internet site link, and calls your website. All going well, you will have some affiliate link click-throughs, and special sales in there! That’s the beauty of affiliate marketing.

  25. I have not meet Tissa but I already have
an excellent image of him. For sure he is
honest, sincere and generous . I’m looking
forward to meet him in the near future.

  26. Van Macchi says:
